Trivia

  • Tully and Haughney were both out on international duty with Boden and Collins coming in in their places.
  • Evans Fernie and Peacock had all been selected for their international sides and Celtic were prepared to release them for the respective games – Scotland againsat England and Ireland against Wales. All three went to Robert Kelly (interestingly enough, to Kelly and not to McGrory) to say that they all wanted to play against Stirling Albion.
  • Celtic still held an unbeaten record at Celtic Park.

Review

Described as a rather featureless game. The chief elements of success were the wing half play of Evans and Peacock. Celtic attacked constantly for the first half. And then did the sdame in the second.
