Review

Motherwell pipped Celtic with a late revival to share the points. A fairly dull game in which both defenses were the stand outs rather than any attacking play.
A fairly dull first half with few incidents of note but occasional chances at both ends. Motherwell played a new keeper in the game and he performed well in the first half making important saves from Higgins and Walsh. celtic went ahead just after the restart. Motherwell came back at them with Aitken hitting the crossbar. Walsh got a second goal when he broke clear and slotted the ball past the advancing McIntyre. Hunter pulled one back with a goal line tap in and four minutes from time Motherwell equalised when Bonnar was narrowly beaten on the goal line.
