  • Matt McVittie, who had just been demobbed from the Army, came in for Eric Smith, who was out with a back injury, with Bobby Collins moving in one and Frank Meechan came in for John Donnelly at right back. Charlie Tully had also returned to the sick and injured list.
  • A Wednesday late afternoon / evening game hence the low attendance.

Review

A home crowd of 4000 saw a deserved win and the third league game won at home this season. The Celtic defense was sure and the forwards canny with Wilson getting a hatrick.
