Review

Rangers were poor but physical and Celtic profligate and amiss in their shooting as well as unlucky. Rangers had Scott pretty much out of the game from ten minutes to half time when he collided with Fallon and Kennedy. Fallon also picked up a leg injury which hampered him. Crerand's goal was a thing of beauty, chesting a clearance down and weaving his way past three Rangers players before shooting home. Celtic showed the better team spirit but too many were intimidated by the ball-or-man tactics adopted by Rangers and overrall the game was poor.
With the game level after 90 minutes the result was decided by a toss of the coin and Caldow called it correct for Rangers.
