Trivia

  • Celtic were on somewhat of a run and were undefeated in 12 games before this match. Again they played an unchanged side – no point in changing a winning combination.
  • With a game on Monday night against Dundee, the team stayed on in the north-east after the game staying in Arbroath.

Review

-Stevie Chalmers scores the only goal of the game to give the Hoops the points in Dundee.
Again Celtic fought well in the opening parts of the game and had much of the play in the first half with all the forwardsa having at least once chance. Both centre halfs played well for their teams with Ure keeping John Hughjes in chack and Mcneill doing the same against Gilzean. Chalmers' goal game from a pass back to Liney by Hamilton which evaded the keeper and Chalmers collected the ball to pass home for the goal.
