  • An unchanged side for Celtic.

Review

Early chances from both sides. Crerand was revelling in his return and spraying passes all round the field. Gray went into goal for Robertson for Third Lanark on 13 minutes after a finger injury saw the keeper leave the field, but he was back in 6 minutes and Gray went back to inside forward. Both sides had chances but there was no score before half time. Despite lots of Celtic pressure it took till 18 minutes from time for Hughes to beat three Third lanark players and set up John Divers for an easy tap in.

The main problem identified through the game was not the amount of chances or the ability to make chances but simply the ability to finish off good moves by scoring.
