Trivia

  • An unchanged team yet again, though John Hughes and John Divers were both carrying leg knocks from the Cowdenbeath game.

Review

An excellent game from start to finish; John Hughes started well and drove the Celtic attack forward from the off. Hibs pressed hard for the first 20 minutes and got their reward when Falconer opened the scoring. Two m inutes later Divers equalised after a good move involving kennedy and Price was finished by the forward. Back came Hibs to score thru Stevenson and they went in at half time ahead.
Celtic came out and went for it in the second half and were soon level. Hughes equalised and five minutes later Divers had his second. Hibs kept at it and equalised on 77 minutes but Celtic's hard work paid off and Divers completed his hatrick with a flying header from a Hughes cross to give the Bhoys the points.

This win took Celtic to second in the table.
