Trivia

  • Surprise surprise…….. an unchanged team and…….
  • Celtic's first penalty of the season!

Review

Within 30 seconds Celtic had the first shot on goal. Crerand made the first goal with a lob over the Falkirk wall for Divers to run in on and tap home. Jackson got the second which was more of a referee favour – Jackson's shot hit the inside of the post and rebounded out to be cleared away with the referee then blowing and allowing the goal. Falkirk protested and Thomson ended up being booked. Price and Crerand dominated play spraying passes all round to their forwards. Two minutes from half time and Celtic were awarded their first penalty of the season. Crerand stepped up to score.
Haffey was a spectator in the second half and despite attempts Celtic failed to add to their first half score.
