Review

An entertaining start with both teams having shots. Hughes had a goal disaloowed on 17 minutes for offside. Celtic went ahead when Hughes fired home a deflected Murdoch shot. But St Mirren equalised three minutes later when White's cross was missed and Beck headed home. Both sides pushed for a second but it remained 1-1 at half time.
The second half produced plenty of action but no further scoring.
