Review

Eyemouth started well and their defense protected the goal well. With over half an hour gone and no sign of a goal the home fans began to show their unease and disenchantment. On the restart, Turner had a header off the bar then in a neat move Johnstone fired over a corner right on the head of Chalmers who easily headed home. The goal spurred Celtic on and though Eyemouth failed to buckle the Celtic attacks were now looking more menacing. Turner had a shot cleared off the line. Gallacher got a second goal with a header of 68 minutes. Chalmers got a third goal ten minutes later.
