Review

Thr full backs did the job of scoring as well as defending in this game. A tight first half had seen no score from either side despite it being one-way traffic towards the Clyde goal and this continued into the second half with slow hand claps starting to be heard around the ground. But Celtic were awarded a soft penalty when Glasgow upended McBride and Ian Young made no mistake from the spot. Five minutes later Gemmell in one of his excursions upfield smashed the ball into the net to put the Bhoys two goals up. Stewart pulled one back for Clyde before the end.
