Review

With two games to go and the table decided now on goal difference rather than goal average, Rangers took their eye off the ball and drew with Raith Rovers at Ibrox.
Celtic in contrast put together a comprehensive win away at Broomfield. The Bhoys won comfortably from the front with two goals in the first half from Wallace and Lennox. The early part of the game was noticeable for a large sway in the crowd which saw a large number of spectators sill over onto the pitch. Play was held up for four minutes with ambulancemen rushing to attend the injured with half a dozen of the younger fans who would have been at the front treated.
In the second half Billy McNeill added a third goal.
