Review

Celtic played below par in this game but had enough with ease to beat the part-timers of Clyde. In a game full of niggles and body checking Bertie Auld and Stan Anderson were both booked.
The first goal came when Brogan crossed , Hood nodded the ball on and Hughes hammered it home. From that point Clyde's tackling became even more brutal and were allowed to get away with it.
The second half saw the Bhoys playing quicker, sharper and more decisive after an earful at half time from Jock Stein. Right at the end Bobby Murdoch, whoi had an off game, buried through the middle and when Macari piucked up the loose ball he ducked and weaved around Clyde defenders before shooting past McCulloch.
