Review

This game was played in monsoon conditions with a ‘lake’ down the main stand touch line.
The conditions were not a leveller and Celtic mastered the elements and their opponents.

In form Hood cracked in an impressive hat trick and with Murdoch and Johnstone on form it proved that talent will come out on top in any conditions. Hood completed his hatrick with a penalty after Jimmy Johnstone was brought down in the area.
Johnstone’s dribbling talents were especially impressive on the sodden turf.

At the end of the month Celtic stood at the top of the table 2 points clear from nearest rivals Aberdeen
