Review

Celtic made heavy weather of this after Wallace gave them the lead after only two minutes. It wasn’t till the second half that Celtic found their stride and had this one wrapped up.
Johnstone was Celtic’s best player with a number of mazy runs and the Airdrie players could not cope with him. After Johnstone clicked then the goals came.
Jim Brogan was impressive and there is talk of him winning a Scotland cap soon.
