Review

Only 19,000 turn out on a bitterly cold day of frost and snow when the game was lucky to have been played at all.

Harry Hood continued his goal scoring form with the opener on the spot to poach a goal after a good move from Celtic saw McAlpine parry the ball out; but this was pegged back by Andy Gray. However Celtic had the beating of the Arabs and further goals followed from Callaghan and Dalglish in the first half and it looked comfortable at half time.

Lennox came on as sub for Hood in the second half.

Celtic blew a two goal lead in the second half with poor defending allowing George Fleming in to shoot home and Archie Knox in for an equaliser just before the end.
