Review

Celtic's defence was creaking against Dumbarton. Stein left Hay and Dalglish on the bench as they had played in West Germany with Scotland in midweek.

It was only when Dalglish came off the bench that Celtic began to play like themselves. 2-1 down at half time Dalglish came on for the second half and got the equaliser. Dumbarton though took the lead again and Dixie Deans levelled it from a Dalglish pass.

At the end of the month, following a loss and this draw the League looked like this.
