Review

Dalglish is the inspiration on the night. He creates Doyle's goal and expertly scores two penalties.
Dumbarton came looking for a draw but with Dalglish setting up Johnny Doyle for the opener on 25 minutes, the Sons had to come out of their shell. They did so in the second half and almost snatched an equaliser with Latchford continuing his excellent form in goal denying them on several occasions. But at the other end Williams also had an inspired second half for Dumbarton and made excellent saves from a number of Celtic attacks. Then McKinnon gave away both penalties first pulling down Wilson then handling just before the end.
