  • An unchanged team for Celtic from the team that won 5-0 against Arbroath.
  • Celtic move for Bobby Houston of Partick but Jackie McNamara refuses to go to Firhill in a swap deal.
  • On the previous night Celtic lost 1-0 to Rangers in a Reserve League Cup tie at Celtic Park. The Celtic team was Connaghan, Gourlay, Hannah, Newman, Aitken, Innes, McLaughlin, McNamara, Henderson, Ritchie, G McCluskey. Subs Mackie (McLaughlin), McGrane. The Rangers scorer was Henderson.

Review

Celtic stage a late fightback to claim a point. Slackness in defence is causing Stein some concern.

At 3-1 down Celtic raised their game mainly through the efforts of McGrain and Doyle to get back to 3-3 with 6 minutes left.

With three minutes to go Lynch was hauled down in the area but referee Eddie Thomson turned away the claims of the Celtic players.
