Review

John Doyle scores a brilliant individual goal and is Celtic's best player on the day. He turned brilliantly with the ball, beat two men and scored from a tight angle.
However Celtic were far from the finished article and Latchford had to be on top form with the forward linje missing numerous chances. Apart from his goal Wilson's presence was negligible and he looked half the player he had been the previous season. The midfield lacked any sparkle and the defense was prone to errors. There was still work to be done.

Celtic duly qualified for the quarter finals with a game in hand
