Review

Celtic were shocked after losing a goal in 40 seconds when Glavin gave the ball away and allowed Giuliani to race through and score.
Celtic improved and Glavin hit the bar and Craig missed a sitter before Lennox equalised after a brilliant through ball by Burns. The play in the first half was however erratic despite being on equal terms away in Europe.

Edvaldsson replaced Casey at half time and Celtic found form. Glavin scored with a left footer after beating four players and Craig took advantage of slack defending to make it 3-1.
Glavin scored the fourth after a 1-2 with Wilson and Edvaldsson rounded the scoring off with two late goals.

At the end Jock Stein was pleased with the form of his young players Casey, Burns, Aitken and McCluskey.
