Review

For the second successive week Celtic recover from 1-2 down to win 3-2. Roddy MacDonald is again the hero with the winning goal and also created Joe Craig's equaliser. Celtic at last show their fans a bit of passion.

Joe Craig opened the scoring in the second half after a dull and goalless first period in which Motherwell had the upper hand. He met a cross from Doyle to shoot cleanly past Rennie in the Motherwell goal. Back came Motherwell straight away and McAdam's brother Colin finished a move. Motherwell went ahead when sub O'Rourke who had been on for about a minute headed past Latchford. Celtic dug deeper and Roiddy MacDonald headed on a Wilson corner for Joe Craig to finish. Ten minutes later MacDonald got his head to the ball to take the three points for Celtic.

Referee Bobby Valentine hands out the cards with Aitken, Wilson and Lynch all going in the book in the first half.
