  • The Reserves midweek game against St Mirren went ahead at Celtic Park with them winning 2-1 against St Mirren. They played a trialist, Jim Duffy at right half, from Maryhill juniors, and he was duly signed but would stay with Maryhill to the end of the season. • George McCluskey and Roy Aitken played for Scotland U21s in Portugal winning 3-1 with McCluskey scoring, on the Tuesday night.
  • Snow fell again during the week. Celtic were due to play St Mirren at Love Street on the 2nd December but this was called off with the pitch iced up. The ground thawed and conditions moderated somewhat during the following week.

Review

Games between these two are fast becoming confrontational affairs. Aberdeen won the bookings count by 3-2 in a scrappy bad tempered game but Celtic were incensed at having two strong penalty claims turned down.

Conn was so outraged when he was felled in the area by Kennedy that he was booked, much to the fury of the Celtic support.
