Review

This result was no good to either club who both had title aspirations. The game was tight with the expectations of both teams meaning a dull game.
Aberdeen opened the scoring when Strachan raced on to an excellent Sullivan pass to score.

Willie Miller recklessly pulled Mike Conroy down before half time, allowing Andy Lynch to pull Celtic level.
Peter Latchford made some crucial saves in the latter half of the game.

On form Dundee United lost 2-1 at Tannadice to Rangers and the Ibrox men were now favourites to lift the title.
