Review

Celtic blew it with a poor start but made a fight of it against much more experienced opposition. They allowed Forsyth to centre, Morris to head on and MacDonald to head past Pat Bonner. A minute later David Young pulled down Strickland in the box and Forsyth scored from the spot. Celtic pulled themselves back together after this early setback and Jim Casey scored a decent goal with a fine shot from 20 yards. After 61 minutes Strickland clinched it beyond doubt for the auld foe.
