Trivia

Review

A three goal romping first half made the second 45 a bit of a formailty. The score could have been much higher but for the Clydebank keeper and veteran defender Jim Fallon.
Aitken got the first goal after a neat corner from MacLeod saw a 1-2 with Provan before driving into the box to cut the ball back for Roy to power home. Vic Davidson got the second following up on a blocked Aitken shot. And soon after Roddy MacDonald, celebrating his return after injury at the end of last season, headed home a Provan corner.
In the second half George McCluskey powered home a shot after good work by Danny McGrain and finished it off with a penalty when McCormack punched a goal-bound shot clear.

    • "Tonight was fine. It was a good start and I was very pleased with the way the players tackled the game. But a match against Dundee United will throw up it's own challenges. Their style of football, the way they push the ball around, will make us play too, and that';s just what we want at this stage of the season.
