Review1979-11-03: Kilmarnock 2-0 Celtic, Premier Division - The Celtic Wiki

Celtic go down on a blustery day. They couldn't get going in the strong wind and heavy rain.

Rugby Park was turning into a bit of a fortress for any visiting team with no team yet having come away with a win.

Killie played well for their win and despite pressure Celtic never really looked like getting back on even terms despite subbing Doyle at the start of the second half for Jo Edvaldsson.
Gibson's second goal for Killie was an excellent solo run before deftly slotting past Latchford.
