Review

A tough game which Celtic ultimately won through continued pressure. The Arabs were content to soak up the pressure and try and hit on the counter with the speed of Sturrock and Pettigrew.
Celtic's goal was a disaster for Hamish McAlpine. Aitken won a ball in midfield and charged forward into the area. McAlpine totally misjudged his challenge and sent Aitken flying. MacLeod scored from the spot and this was Celtic's first goal of the decade.

At the start of the New Year Celtic were clear at the top two points ahead of second placed Morton.
