Review

A capacity crowd watched turned out after Aberdeen's win against Rangers the previous week. Celtic give nothing away at the back and cancel out Aberdeen's skills in midfield with some class of their own.

The best two chances of the game fell to Celtic. In 12 minutes ex Aberdeen man Sullivan left Doyle in the clear 6 yards out but as he took the ball on his chest Clark was able to smother it. In the second half Clark saved the Dons again when Celtic broke quickly with Aitken in on goal and the keeper rushed out to clear.

Celtic looked happy at the final whistle but the suspicion is they are drawing too many games.

The frost and snow bit into the Scottish programme this Saturday and this was only 1 of 2 games that went ahead in the Premier League. Morton were beaten at home by Kilmarnock taking Celtic 4 points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand.
