Aberdeen played the aggresive McLeish in midfield and this upset Celtic's rhythm. At half time Dons were deservedly in front.
McNeill pushed Aitken into midfeield in the second half and this saw an improvement. Near the end McAdam hit the junction of the woodwork and with that Celtic were out.
