Review

McCluskey missed a first half penalty and Celtic struggled on until 85 minutes when they were awarded another penalty when Duffy fouled Burns.

Ex Celt Baines saved McGarvey's spot kick and rebound but McGarvey showed great determination to score at the third attempt.

Bonner made a great save from Docherty with a minute left to save the points.

Only 9000 turned out to watch. Radio Scotland had a debate and ex Celt Jim Craig called in to contribute. He was such a hit he was invited back on a regular basis to give his opinions.

Every club is having it's problems. Celtic are still Scotland's best supported club and on this same night Liverpool could only muster 27,000 for their ECQF game at Anfield with CSKA Sofia.
