Review
This game had the feeling of a mini Old Firm game due to Hearts having ex Rangers men Sandy Jardine, Alex MacDonald ans Willie Johnston in their ranks.
It was a physical encounter with the first division leaders from Tynecastle giving their all.
Johnston was sent off after lunging at Provan following a throw in. To this day Johnston denies making any contact with Provan and Provan also claims that Johnston struck him. As it was 'wee Bud' was despatched again by the referee…..for the 19th time in his career.
