  • Ex Celt George McCluskey was a sub for Leeds.
  • New signing Pierce O'Leary was named in the Celtic squad for the first time.

Review

This game was organised at short notice between managers Davie Hay and Eddie Gray after bad weather had kept both sides from playing for a number of weeks. 500 Celtic fans were estimated to be in the 6136 crowd on a freezing cold night.

Bad weather in the Glasgow area prevented more Celtic fans from travelling.
