- At the final whistle Celtic fans in the main stand threw coins at the Celtic directors shouting: 'For God's sake buy !', a reference to the fact that despite making several offers for much needed defenders, Celtic haven't signed any yet.
- Davie Hay was given a terrible time from fans on the terraces at full time when he made his way round the track from the dug outs to the dressing rooms.
- Rangers now go top of the league on goal difference which looks ominous for Celtic.
