Trivia

  • A smoke bomb is thrown into the Hibs fans' area and causes a long disruption before the game is restarted.
  • Hearts' defeat at Ibrox sends Celtic back to the top of the table

Review

An entertaining match until the crowd spilled onto the pitch after the smoke bomb was thrown into the Hibs fans near the corner flag. McStay and McAvennie combined brilliantly for the Celtic goal and Pat Bonner made a series of impressive saves from Hibs' Paul Kane. It all petered out after play was restarted after the smoke bomb incident.
