Trivia

  • Celtic Takeover and "Sack the Board" Days
  • Celtic's earliest exit in the Scottish Cup since 1976.
  • Season over, so concentration fully on removing the board.
  • Another marker on the road to the Celtic Takeover finale.
  • Ex-Celt Tommy Coyne the one to knock us out the cup and again it's a trophyless season.

Review

In one month, the whole season was unravelled. Celtic out the club, no victories at all, out of the league reckoning, no money to transfer in players. All talk is of the Sack the Board events.

The board continued to dig in their heels, and you only needed to look at the attendances to see the slump.

Only 14k at this pivotal match.

Mothewell for some reason were a bogey side for Celtic at the time.

A front two of Brian O'Neil & an over-the-hill McAvennie were never going to trouble anyone, and they didn't.

Possibly the worst month in Celtic's history of match results since the 1940s.

Shambles.
