Rangers led twice after bad Celtic defending on a wild and windy day and the turning point was when Prytz's thunder bolt shot in the second half came off the bar and into Bonner's arms.
Celtic equalised after McGarvey scored after brilliant play from young Paul McStay.
With only three minutes remaining Celtic grabbed the winner when they broke quickly after a Rangers corner. Nicholas cleverly held the ball and releeased it perfectly to MacLeod who ran 50 yards before scoring with a powerful shot.
MacLeod was so exhausted he could hardly raise his arms in celebration.
