Celtic Career Review
Never played a competitive match for Celtic. Bobby Young arrived at Celtic from St Johnstone as a direct swap for Bobby Craig at the start of the 1963-64 season. Wheras Bobby Craig went straight into the St Johnstone team, at Celtic Bobby Young went to play for the 'A' Reserves – and even then he had to wait to earn his place at centre forward. However by October 1963 he was playing regularly for the 'A' Reserves at centre forward
