Academy prospect Sean McArdle signs first professional deal with the Hoops

Celtic Football Club are pleased to confirm that Academy youngster Sean McArdle has signed his first professional contract with the club.
Putting pen to paper on a three-year deal that will see him remain with the club until the summer of 2026, the 16-year-old becomes the latest prospect to commit his future to the Hoops.
After turning 16 back in August, alongside his game time with the under-18, McArdle has also been involved with the B squad during the early stages of this campaign.
The youngster has been part of both squads for the Celts’ opening UEFA Youth League fixtures, and even came off the bench to make his first appearance for the B side during the 1-1 draw against Lazio at The City Stadium.
Just a few days later, McArdle was handed his first start during the Bhoys’ Lowland League fixture against East Stirlingshire, putting in a strong display against the senior side.
Everyone at Celtic would like to congratulate Sean on signing his first professional deal, and look forward to seeing him continue his journey with the Hoops.
