Review
Gluttons for punishment! Celtic, two weeks after being hammered by them, the Hampdenites turned up to watch through the cracks in their fingers.
Then suddenly Dan McArthur had to stretch to prevent Bob McColl scoring and Willie Gulliland making his first appearance of the season spanked off down the wing, was fouled and Jock Gillespie flighted the free kick into the Celtic goalmouth and Willie Lambie scored; Celtic looked stodgy.
In a forward rush, Tom Waddell scored a second then he netted again and the strangers looked bewildered; even in a friendly they didn`t like losing and Davie Stewart, brought in at centre forward to provide some attacking muscle, beat McArthur again in the gathering darkness, the Spiders` day was complete.
