Match report from The Scotsman, 25th August 1921
Scottish league game played at Airdrie last night before 15,000 spectators. It was a brilliant first half, with Celtic the more aggressive. The only goal was by Gallacher, who was in superb form along with McAtee. Airdrie played brilliantly in the second half, but failed at goal. On the call of time, McLean scored for Celtic, who won with nothing to spare on play.
