Review

The game was played with gale force winds and heavy rain showers.
Celtic pushed for an early goal and were denied by some good goalkeeping from Drummond. Fernie hit the crossbar and had another shot well saved by the post. Meechan had to clear off the line at the other end. Raith scored against the run of play when Copland slipped the ball in from a corner. The Raith defense was proving wise to the Celtic attack. Celtic made most of the play in the second half but with six minutes to go Raith scored a second goal.
