Review

On a wet day, Celtic started well but met a resolute Queens defense. Johnny Divers got the first goal on 17 minutes, his first senior goal. Queens then unexpectedly equalised when McGill was left open. Celtic came out ready for the second half and Colrain nearly scored with a long range effort. The play was more scrappy but gradually Celtic gained the upper hand. On 57 minutes Mochan in a well forward position crossed and Conway put the ball away. Bertie Auld then hit the post before scoring before the end from a Divers pass.
