Writen in the wake of Mexico 86 this is a bog standard autobiography. The book follows Roy’s rapid rise from Ayrshire schoolboy to Celtic stalwart. The big man comes across as a likeable bloke but in truth nothing in this book will surprise or shock you. Feed the Bear features chapters typical of books from this era focusing on subjects like Roy’s best Celtic XI and best Scotland XI. An unchallenging but inoffensive read.
