Background

Celtic Sites - Maley's Bhoys - The Celtic Wiki
“Maley’s Bhoys” is an unofficial online community open to all individuals from all walks of life, regardless of age, gender, race, creed, nationality, political viewpoint, sexuality, or any other factor. The love of Celtic which we all possess, coupled with the charitable and open ethos of Celtic Football Club and it’s supporters, is what this community stands for above all else.

Formed in January 2011, this website, and the group of people it has brought together, is something which I am tremendously proud of. Our main aims as a group are to provide a free and open platform for debate for the Celtic support to utilise, and to select one charitable cause every season to back to the fullest extent we can. In the latter stages of the 2010-11 season, we did this by raising money for “The Good Child Foundation” (also known as the “Thai Tims”). In the 2011-2012 season, our members raised enough to fully fund a Christmas party for around 80 children from “The Kano Foundation”, with appearances from Kris Commons, Hoopy the Huddehound and Santa Claus. Every child was given several Christmas presents, and they did not need to spend a single penny (excluding travel costs) that day in order to be with us, at the Celtic Supporter’s Club on London Road, who were kind enough to let us use their facilities free of charge.

This season (2012-2013), we are in the process of raising funds for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Scotland.

I feel I should also highlight that we do not aim to compete with other members of the Celtic media. Instead, we look to work with them, to provide the Celtic supporters with the best services we possibly can as a whole community. For this reason, we are a member of “The Celtic Network”, a website which aims to bring together all of the Celtic sites on the internet in one place.
Maley’s Bhoys will never adopt an official political view on any matter that is not directly related to Celtic Football Club or it’s supporters. We encourage our members, and people from all walks of life, to take an interest in politics should they wish to do so, but do not allow the discussion of it on the website.
As we all follow a club which is open to all, I wholeheartedly believe this website should be too. However, we will not tolerate any form of discrimination from our members (e.g. sectarianism, racism etc). I do not feel this is something we have a problem with, as the vast majority of our members are a credit to themselves and the Celtic support, but it is something I must highlight regardless.
I hope you enjoy any visits to our website.
