• Celtic dropped down from Champions League Qualifiers.
• Celtic qualified for KO stages after one qualifying round
• Celtic make it through to the KO stages, finishing Second.
• Two group teams owned by same firm: Red Bull! Both controversial rebranded clubs.
• Concerns that last match would be fixed to help RB Leipzig go thru, no worries.
• Celtic played Rosenborg in qualifiers for Champions League, so will have played them four times in a few months, and also played them last season also! Makes mockery of this whole set up.
• Rosenborg were rubbish, but scored in very last minutes to get their only point and that got Celtic thru to the KO stages
• First ever disco lights used at Celtic Park.
• Celtic poor away from home again. Salzburg were way ahead of everyone else in the group.
• Celtic got through by the sking of our teeth with a very very late goal by Rosenborg in their final group stage to steal a pt in a draw v Leipzig) (despite it being their only point in the entire group stage). Knocked out RB Leipzig and Celtic went through. If Leipzig had drawn with Rosneborg they'd have gone through.
• Celtic faced Valancia in next round the KO stages, but easily defeated in both legs.
• Some criticising Brendan Rodgers, and very soon after he left (within a week). Most believe he hung on for these games and was staying till end of this European run.
