Biog

Kevin McBride was a midfielder who never broke through fully to the first team but played in a number of Friendlies and Testimonials during his time at Celtic.

He was signed on an S-Form at the age of 12 and played with Celtic Boys Club before signing professional terms with the club in July 1998. He played through the youth teams and the Reserves making his debut as a substitute in a Benefit game for Morton on 24th March 2001. He was thought highly enough to win a new contract at the end of the 00/01 season and a further 1 year extension at the end of 03/04. During season 04/05 he went on loan to Motherwell and joined them full time in January 2005.

He played 2 seasons with Motherwell without really forcing himself into the team and chose not to take the new contract offered to him at the end of 06/07. Instead he made a free move to Darlington where he found himself on the fringes of the first team. Without action he took the chance to move back to Scotland in January 2008 joining Falkirk on an 18 month contract.

When John Hughes moved to manage Hibernian in 2009 McBride made a free transfer to the Edinburgh club with a 2 year contract on 2nd July 2009. He continues to play for Hibernian.
