The Glasgow Herald – Jan 19, 1920
A Promising Debut
Celtic on the other hand, were favoured by the elements on a ground that has unhappy memories for them, and they had to strive desperately in the last twenty minutes to prevent Kilmarnock drawing level. Craig justified his preferment over McInally and McColl, not so much by the two goals he obtained as by the attitude shown for the centre forward position, which was most remarkable in a player who had hitherto been known as a wing support in lower grade football. Though clearly superior to the home team in method, Celts owed their success mainly to the storming rushes of McAtee, the one forward on the side physically equipped for a contest demanding strength and endurance.
