Match report from The Scotsman, 6th April 1920

[…] Fully 50,000 spectators witnessed Celtic defeat Partick Thistle at Firhill park, Glasgow. The game all through was very fast, and Celtic just deserved their odd goal victory on play. In the first half Thistle forced the game, and led at the interval by a goal scored by McFarlane. In the second half Celtic gave of their best, and after some heavy pressure McAtee, with a long shot, succeeded in beating Bernard. Before the finish McInally, after a grand individual effort, scored Celtic’s second goal. During the game a portion of the barricade gave way, and several of the spectators received injuries. One of them was removed to the Western Infirmary for treatment.
