Match report from The Scotsman, 29th November 1920

[…] There was an attendance of about 10,000 spectators at Celtic park, Glasgow, where the Celtic gained an easy victory over Raith Rovers. The first half was of an even nature, the Rovers’ forwards showing some nice wing play, and repeatedly getting within range of Shaw. Near the interval in a strong |Celtic attack Longmuir, who was playing centre forward, succeeded in placing the ball in the net after Dickson had saved brilliantly from McAtee. In the second half the heavy ground told on the Rovers, and in the closing stages their defence, which had played exceedingly well in the first half, was overrun by the Celtic attack. Longmuir got the second goal midway through the half, and Cringan, Gallagher, and McAtee increased the total to five. Dickson kept a remarkably fine goal for the Rovers, and could not be blamed for the heavy defeat.

The Glasgow Herald – Nov 29, 1920
Celtic won comfortably against Raith Rovers in the second half of the game at Parkhead, the Fife team being obviously exhausted by their successful efforts to withstand the Celtic attacks in the early stages. Celtic took the opportunity of trying a new recruit, Longmuir, at centre forward, and the Ardrossan youth who was signed some months ago, distinguished himself by scoring two goals.
